Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
To safely remove finished castings from highly detailed forms, gradually peel the flexible silicone back around the edges without forcefully pulling or overstretching delicate features. Never use metal picks, knives, needles, or other sharp tools to loosen tight sections or clear wick holes, as these can scratch or puncture the interior mold walls. Be sure to consult the specific demolding instructions on individual product pages, as ideal techniques can vary depending on the casting material you choose.
Every wax candle mold in this collection works exceptionally well with soy wax, beeswax, paraffin, and specialty wax blends. However, alternative casting materials such as soap bases, plaster, concrete, and resin are only compatible with selected designs in this range. We advise reviewing the individual product specifications for your selected mold to confirm whether it is recommended for your intended casting medium.
After demolding your finished creation, clean away any remaining wax, soap, resin, or plaster using mild liquid soap and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents or abrasive cleaning pads, as these can dull the interior silicone surface finish over time. Always ensure the mold is allowed to dry completely before putting it away.
Once the mold is clean and completely dry, store it lying flat in its natural shape to avoid structural deformation. Keep your silicone molds in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, open flames, and high heat sources. Proper flat storage preserves the mold's flexibility and surface detail for repeated crafting projects.
