To protect delicate features during demolding, always allow your chosen casting material to cure completely before starting. Gently peel the flexible silicone away from the edges of the cured piece rather than pulling forcefully on delicate protruding sections.
While originally designed as molds for soap making, these flexible forms accommodate alternative compounds like wax, plaster, acrylic resin, or concrete. However, suitability depends on the specific design chosen, so you should check the individual product details for your selected mold.
Wash the mold gently using warm water and a mild liquid soap after each use. Avoid using abrasive pads, stiff brushes, or sharp metal instruments that could scratch or tear the interior surface.
After washing, allow the mold to dry thoroughly in a clean environment before storing. Keep the mold resting flat in its original shape, away from direct sunlight, high heat sources, and heavy direct pressure.
