If the specific design features factory-made cuts to assist with extraction, support the flexible form gently throughout the demolding process to protect both the casting and the inner silicone surface.
Molds with built-in extraction cuts are designed to help release complex shapes, but they must be gently supported around the exterior during pouring and demolding. Holding the silicone form securely in its intended alignment helps prevent leakage along the seam lines and keeps your casting material contained as it sets.
Clean your molds after each use with mild soap and warm water to remove leftover wax, soap residue, or casting dust, avoiding abrasive sponges, stiff brushes, or sharp tools that could scratch the surface. Once air-dried completely, store the molds flat in their natural shape away from direct sunlight, intense heat, and heavy items that could cause deformation over time.
