Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

While many designs in this collection are ideal for candle waxes like soy, beeswax, and paraffin, selected silicone forms are also suitable for melt-and-pour soap, plaster, concrete, and resin casting. Because shape and detail retention can vary between models, checking the individual product description before choosing your material ensures optimal casting and demolding results. This allows you to select the precise form needed for your specific creative project.
To protect intricate features like feathered textures, remove your finished casting gradually without applying excessive force to narrow sections. Never use sharp metal picks, knives, or needles inside the mold cavity, as punctures can permanently damage the smooth internal silicone surface. The natural flexibility of silicone helps you peel the mold back gently while preserving delicate surface elements.
After each use, wash away remaining wax, soap residue, or casting compounds using warm water and a mild dish soap. Take care not to scrub the inside cavity with abrasive pads, which can scratch or wear down delicate relief details. Once washed, allow the silicone mold to air dry completely before putting it away.
Store your silicone molds flat in their natural, uncompressed shape to prevent permanent distortion of delicate reliefs and contours. Keep them in a cool, dry location safely away from direct sunlight, open flames, and high heating elements. Proper storage maintains the flexibility of the silicone over many crafting cycles.
