To protect delicate features during removal, flex the silicone away from the casting gradually rather than pulling the piece out forcefully. Take extra care around fine details such as ears, whiskers, and deeply recessed carved areas so the interior remains intact. Avoid using sharp tools, metal picks, or abrasive pads near the silicone, as these can easily scratch or tear the fine surface details.
After each use, gently wash the mold with warm water and mild liquid soap to clear away remaining wax, soap residue, or casting dust. Allow the form to dry completely in a dust-free area before storing it flat in its natural shape. Keep your stored molds away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and heavy objects that could distort or warp the flexible silicone over time.
While originally designed for wax casting, many designs in this collection also work exceptionally well with beeswax, soy wax, soap bases, plaster, concrete, and epoxy resin.
