Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes, while designed primarily for poured wax, many designs in this collection adapt well to alternative cold-casting mediums such as soap bases, plaster, resin, or concrete. However, specific material compatibility depends on the structural design of each individual model. You should always review the individual product details to ensure the selected shape suits your intended material.
Always allow your poured wax, soap, or plaster to fully cool and set before attempting to remove the finished piece. To release the cast, gently peel the flexible silicone walls back away from the details rather than forcing the object out. Never use sharp metal instruments like knives or needles near the mold, as they can puncture or slice the flexible material.
Wash the form using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft, non-abrasive sponge to safely remove leftover wax or casting particles. Avoid using stiff brushes or harsh chemical solvents that could scratch or erode the smooth inner polish. After washing, place the mold in a well-ventilated area and let it dry completely before storage.
Store your flexible molds flat in their natural, undistorted shape inside a dust-free box or drawer. Keep them safely away from direct sunlight, heating radiators, and extreme heat sources to preserve the integrity and elasticity of the material over time. Stacking heavy objects on top of them should be avoided to prevent long-term distortion.
