To protect both your casting and the mold, always demold your finished pieces gradually by gently easing the flexible silicone away from the detailed edges. Avoid using excessive force, stretching delicate sections, or using sharp tools and metal wicks that could scratch the smooth interior lining. Working slowly from the outer edges inward will ensure a clean release without damaging intricate surface textures.
While these flexible forms are designed with wax pouring in mind, they adapt exceptionally well to various casting mediums. Depending on the specific design you choose, you can successfully pour soy wax, high-quality soap bases, gypsum plaster, acrylic casting compounds, or epoxy resin. After each casting session, gently clean the cavity with warm water and mild dish soap to remove any residual wax, soap, or casting powder.
