Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

While many of our molds are designed for pouring liquid materials like wax, resin, or plaster, you can also press air-dry or polymer clay into selected shallow forms to create decorative tiles and pendants. For deeper 3D designs, liquid casting mediums are generally recommended to ensure all the intricate details are fully captured. Be sure to check the specific details of your chosen mold to see if it suits your preferred material.
To protect the intricate details, always demold your finished objects gently by slowly unwinding or peeling the flexible silicone form back rather than pulling forcefully. Never use metal tools, blades, or sharp picks near the interior surfaces to assist with removal, as these can easily scratch or puncture the mold. Allowing your casting material to fully set according to its specific instructions will also prevent delicate parts from snapping during demolding.
After casting, wash the interior of the mold with warm water and mild liquid soap to remove any leftover wax, resin residue, or plaster dust, then let it dry completely. To prevent permanent deformation, store your silicone forms flat in their natural shape rather than stacked or bent. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heating elements, and dust to preserve their elasticity over time.
